Prof. Sergiusz Luliński obtained his PhD in 2001 in the field of metal boroxide chemistry from the Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology (supervisor: Prof. Janusz Serwatowski). For many years he was involved in a project carried out in cooperation with Sigma-Aldrich and developed over 200 procedures for the synthesis of organometallic compounds. In 2010, he obtained habilitation in the field of organolithium chemistry. Since 2019, he is employed as a full professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, WUT.
Currently, he is mainly interested in designing the synthesis of organoboron and organosilicon compounds for various applications in materials and medicinal chemistry, including precursors of microporous materials, compounds with luminescent or antimicrobial properties. Since 2012, this research was or has been conducted mainly within 4 long-term projects supported by the National Science Centre (Poland). Prof. Luliński is the co-author of ca. 80 scientific publications in JCR indexed journals.
